Van der Horst Biodiesel is a Joint Venture company between Van der Horst Engineering and the Institute of Environmental Science and Engineering (IESE), a technological arm of the Nanyang Technological Institute (NTU) of Singapore.

Van der Horst Biodiesel will be the leader in the biodiesel industry to provide sustainable and renewable fuel and at the same time, participate in the reduction of Global Warming.

Van der Horst Biodiesel is vertically integrated in the production of Biodiesel from
“seed to tank”. Van der Horst Biodiesel will have its own Agronomy on Jatropha Curcas a non-food crop, employing the best strain most suitable for planting at each location and mass propagation by tissue culture for the best yield.


The refineries utilize an advance process technology which operates at low temperature and pressure, thus achieving low production cost.
